Helix Electric of Nevada has been named the number one Top Workplace, among the largest companies in Nevada of 2020. The category in which Helix is featured has 500 or more employees. Helix overall is the largest electrical contractor in Nevada with 681 employees in the state and 5,000 nationwide. The company has worked on incredible projects throughout the Las Vegas Valley, such as: The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, many high schools, and other large commercial and industrial projects. Helix is constantly growing and expanding its rolodex of projects across the United States.

Helix Electric was founded in 1985 by Gary Shekter. Victor Fuchs opened the Nevada division in 1995, which is now referred to as Helix Electric of Nevada. Victor Fuchs is currently the President and managing partner of Helix Electric of Nevada. The founder’s push towards success is driven by where they came from. As Jewish and political refugees from Ukraine, which was then part of the Soviet Union, the family came looking for a better opportunity and way of life.

We are a diverse company with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Helix has a work-hard-play-hard mentality and our events and activities are built around that philosophy. Every year we organize a charity golf event which is followed by a party. The holiday party is something we look forward to at the end of every year—and is overwhelmingly rewarding for every employee. We host a free weekend retreat where employees can bring their significant others to a resort in Mesquite, where we work and have various trainings and discussions, followed by bowling, golf, massages, and various enjoyable activities.
