Helix Electric Receives Pinnacle Awards from Associated General Contractors of Nevada

RENO, Nev – Helix Electric, a long-standing Nevada electrical contractor, is proud to announce that three projects in northern Nevada have received Pinnacle Awards from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Nevada. Three individual projects were awarded in three separate categories: Contractor’s Innovation Under $500,000, Meeting the Challenge of a Difficult Job Under $500,000, and Meeting the Challenge of a Difficult Job Over $500,000.

“Helix Electric is honored to have received three Pinnacle Awards from the AGC of Nevada,” said Victor Fuchs, president at Helix Electric. “Our northern Nevada team is deserving of this recognition, and we are extremely proud of the work that they have accomplished. As long-time members of the Associated General Contractors of Nevada, we are grateful for this opportunity to have our work recognized.”

Helix project, the Dorms at Sage Street, received a Pinnacle Award in the Contractor’s Innovation Under $500,000 category. For this project, Helix provided work on the existing utilities, both overhead and underground. The project team also designed electrical layouts to transform former dorm units into single-occupant housing units.

The relocation of the VA Sierra Electrical Room was the recipient of a Pinnacle Award in the Meeting the Challenge of a Difficult Job Over $500,000 category. On this project, Helix was tasked with demolishing the existing electrical room and relocating the hospital’s boiler, chiller and air-conditioning power demanded by the brand-new electrical infrastructure. Through the incorporation of innovative methods, Helix was able to overcome issues and complete the necessary tasks efficiently.

Helix Electric’s work on the 3rd Floor Remodel and Operating Room Expansion at the Northern Nevada Medical Center earned them a Pinnacle Award in the Meeting the Challenge of a Difficult Job Under $500,000 category. For this remodel, Helix coordinated closely with the general contractor, SR Construction, and the Northern Nevada Medical Center staff to ensure that there was minimal disruption to the hospital. The team’s excellent planning, effective communication and flexibility was key to its success on this project.
